Gangotri Dham Yatra – Seek the Blessings of Mother Ganga
After an early breakfast, begin your sacred journey from Uttarkashi to Gangotri Dham, travelling deep into the magnificent Himalayan landscape. The route follows the beautiful Bhagirathi River, with towering mountains, pine forests, dramatic valleys, and picturesque mountain villages along the way.
En Route: Harsil Valley
One of the highlights of today’s journey is the breathtaking Harsil Valley, renowned for its peaceful surroundings, lush forests, apple orchards, and spectacular Himalayan scenery. Take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty and serenity of this remarkable mountain valley.
Continue onwards to Gangotri, one of the four sacred destinations of the Char Dham pilgrimage and an important spiritual center dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
Gangotri Dham
Upon arrival, visit the revered Gangotri Temple, beautifully situated along the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Offer prayers and seek the blessings of Maa Ganga in this sacred Himalayan setting.
Pilgrims may also participate in traditional rituals and, where conditions permit, take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River.
Spend some peaceful moments absorbing the spiritual atmosphere and magnificent mountain scenery surrounding Gangotri before beginning your return journey.
Later, drive back to Uttarkashi through the scenic Himalayan valleys.
Arrive in Uttarkashi by evening and relax at your hotel.
